21 Baker street, 7:00am, April 1883 - Mrs. Hudson is awaken by a young woman, Helen Stoner, ringing the bell. By midday Holmes and Watson are on the train to Surrey with great urgency to help Miss Stoner discover the cause of her twin sister's death - two years ago... the reason for the urgency is that Miss Stoner now fears her life will end the same way. Her sister's dying words were "Oh my God, Helen! It was the band - the speckled band!" Can Holmes discover the meaning of those words on time to save Helen?

J.T. O’Connor* is thrilled to return to GRT having played Maurice in Fallen Angels, and Sherlock Holmes in The Hound of the Baskervilles and Nick Potter & Edward Seton in 'Holiday', numerous roles in Sorry Wrong Number and Santa in Rudolph’s Tale. His theater credits include the 2000-2002 National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof (Label/Constable) W/ Theodore Bikel, Gypsy (Herbie) W/ Joyce DeWitt, A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), The Nerd (Axel Hammond), Rough Crossing (Ivor Fish), High Spirits (Charles Condo-mine), Uncle Vanya (Professor), Angel Street (Rough), Annie Get Your Gun (Frank Butler), Wait Until Dark (Mike Tal-man), Funny Girl (Nick Arnstein), Moon Over Buffalo (Paul), and Kiss Me Kate (Fred). Television and Film credits include One Life to Live (Officer Roy Pell), The Good Wife, The Other Guys, White Collar, Gossip Girl, Rabbit Hole.

Victor Barbella*, a founder of Gotham Radio Theatre, thrilled to be joining the cast of The Case of The Speckled Band and hopes to channel the great spirit of Nigel Bruce to bring Dr. Watson to life. For Gotham Radio Theatre he has appeared as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, Hermie the Elf in Rudolph's Tale A 1964 Christmas and several others.  His theatre credits include the title role in Anatol at London’s Lyric Theatre, Beirut at George Street Playhouse, Indians (directed by George Faison) at McCarter Theatre, Women of Manhattan at Greenwich Street Theatre, Suicide, Anyone? at 45th Street Theatre, The Country Girl at Fleetwood Stage, A View From the Bridge at Oldcastle Theatre in Vermont and Side Man at Stamford Theatreworks in Connecticut. His film and television work includes Law and Order, the ABC soap Loving, short films, independent films and commercials.



Vince Trani (Louie Gugliano)

Vince Trani* is glad to be back at GRT where he has appeared in Sorry, Wrong Number, Hound of the Baskervilles, Idiots’ Delight and No Time For Sergeants and Rudolph’s Tale.  Vince was in the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera's revival of Kismet and sang Faust in the First National Tour of Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera.  He played Sancho Panza in twelve productions of Man of La Mancha and has worked at the Paper Mill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, Cincinnati Playhouse, for Disney Entertainment Productions and the New York Shakespeare Theatre. Vince is a founding member of the Project Rushmore Theatre Company, where he recently appeared as Al Lewis in The Sunshine Boys, The Fool in King Lear and Creon in Medea.  


Laura Leopard (Irene Dahlia) as Mrs. Hudson

Laura Leopard*, a founder of Gotham Radio Theatre, last appeared for GRT Rudolph in Rudolph's Tale: A 1964 Christmas, Joanna/Monica in Present Laughter, and Elvira in Blithe Spirit.   She will also appear in Twentieth Century in May. From Nashville, Tennessee her credits include An Ideal Husband, at The Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, Quartett at BAM (the Brooklyn Academy of Music), Amadeus at the prestigious Barter Theatre in Virginia, and Claire in Proof at Mill Mountain Theatre in Virginia.   Favorite roles include, Mary Queen of Scotts in Mary Stuart, and Nan/Lina in Three Days of Rain.  Laura is a proud member of Project Rushmore. 

Sarah Elmaleh ( Judy Ravine (née Ronzulli) as Helen Stoner, SE Actor

Sarah Elmaleh is a Brooklyn actor and voiceover artist. Her NY theater credits include Anna Moench’s GORMANZEE & Other Stories (The Flea), Arok of Java (Exit, Pursued by a Bear), the video for GOODBAR (Waterwell/The Public), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Truffle Theatre Company), as well as various Shakespeare reading series you may suddenly come upon at the local park or library. Voiceover clients include ABC Family, Puma, Tanger Outlets, Cafepress, Fodor’s, and many accounts (50+ ads) for Pandora Internet Radio. She’s also a proud member of the Game Audio Network Guild Voice Actor’s Coalition. Sarah is very excited to be joining GRT, having fallen madly in love with radio dramas in college (performances included the Mercury Theatre's Around the World in 80 Days, and original adaptations of Sunset Blvd and classic adventure game The Curse of Monkey Island.) Directed and Adapted by Sydnie Grosberg Ronga (Sydnie Gale)

Sydnie Grosberg Ronga has directed extensively in New York, St. Louis, and regionally, staging plays such as Mrs. Warren’s Profession, Design For Living, Hayfever and several new plays. Sydnie has been directing shows for Gotham Radio Theatre and she recently directed a critically acclaimed production of It Had to Be You in St. Louis. As Associate Artistic Director of The Phoenix Theatre Company, Sydnie directed Boy Meets Girl, Alone At The Beach, and The Nerd. She has directed two of Branislav Tomich’s one-man plays; Blue Lanterns which had a highly successful run in New York  fall  '09, and Café God which played in NYC, St. Louis and won a Drama Logue Award in Los Angeles. She is The Associate Artistic Director of Max & Louie Productions (St. Louis), on the steering committee for the Project Rushmore Theatre Company, NYC, and has worked with Manhattan Class Company and The Women’s Project. As an arts educator Sydnie has worked with students of all ages, directing shows from elementary school to college and designing theatre curriculum for in-school and after-school programs. She is an acting teacher and coach. Born in St. Louis, she is a graduate of Webster University.
